      Zane Yvonne Hobizal, age 68, of Boling, died Thursday April 7, 2005, in a Wharton hospital. She was born in Wharton on Jan. 5, 1937, the daughter of the late John P. Mason and her living mother, Juanita Peterson Mason.

      Mr. Hobizal was a lifelong resident of Boling and a 1955 graduate of Boling High School. She married Vincent Raymond Hobizal on Oct. 5, 1959, in Wharton. Mrs. Hobizal worked as a teachers aid for the Boling Independent School District in the Boling High School for the past 22 years. She was a member of Iago Federated Church and served as the church pianist for many years. Mrs. Hobizal enjoyed music and playing the piano at various weddings, U.I.L. events, Bible School events, graduations, baccalaureates, church revivals, funerals and school programs in several different towns and for various families. She was a former member of the Boling High School Booster Club.

      Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005, at the Iago Federated Church with Mickey Reynolds officiating. nterment followed in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

      Survivors include her husband, Vincent Hobizal of Boling; daughter, Marti Wostarek and husband, Tim, of Boling; sons, Mike Hobizal of Boling, Mark Hobizal of Spring, Matt Hobizal and wife, Barbara, of Boling; her mother, Juanita Mason of Boling; sister, Teri Mason of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Mitchell Hobizal, Amber Merecka, Mason Hobizal, Zachary Hession, Luke Wostarek and Peyton Wostarek.

      Pallbearers were Donald Drenner, Joe Wayne Barker, Billy Wayne Tabor, Wayne Guess, Devoy Shaw and Ramon Cavazos.

      Honorary pallbearers were V.O. Brown, Gordon Heintschel, Gene Johnston and Jerry Slaughter.

      Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
