- from The Fayette County Record, Tuesday, March 17, 2009Memorial services for Rosalie (Rose) Malota of La Grange will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Fayetteville Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Nesrsta and Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiating.A private burial was held March 5, 2009.She was born Nov. 9, 1925 in Fayetteville, the daughter of Joe and Julie A. (Baca) Malota. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange and served as a housekeeper for Msgr. John Hanacek until his death in September 1994.Survivors include two sisters, Mary Barber and husband Don of Sweeney, Vlasta Brown and husband Don of Fayetteville; nephews, Joe Malota and wife Jenny of Cypress, John Barber and wife Tina, and Lee Barber, all of Sweeney, Richard Chovanec and wife Rose of Ganado; nieces, Patricia Dorraj of Ft. Worth, Barbara Tieken and husband Gerald, and Rebecca Deen and fiance Calvin Harbaugh, all of La Grange; numerous great-nieces, and great-nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Daniel Malota and wife Josephine; two nephews, Danny Malota and Ray Barber; and one niece, Pauline Malota.Memorial are suggested to Sacred Heart School and the La Grange Volunteer Fire Department.Fayette Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.Submitted by Rosemary ErmisNote: She was a cousin to my husband Alfred and made all the Baca Reunions.
