      Frank R. Kriska
      Mr. Frank R. (Popo) Kriska, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 in Ennis, he was 89.

      Mr. Kriska was born in Crisp Texas on April 20, 1919, to parents, Frank Kriska and Josephine Slovak. He was reared in Crisp and attended St. John Schools. On October 17, 1944 he married Ann Julie Krajca and they made their home in Ennis.

      He was a welder for A. Gunthard and Co. for 34 years. He worked for the City of Ennis in the Sanitation Department and was a Machine Operator for Leggett and Platt. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and KJT.

      Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He loved to fish, and play domino's. He loved his animals,and the simple life. Frank will go to join his loving wife, Ann Julie, in heaven on her birthday Friday.

      He is survived by one daughter Vivian Kriska and husband Johnny Pechal of Ennis. Granddaughter, Tracy Henry, and her husband, Tony Doblado of Ennis. Two great granddaughters, his(putt-putt's), Faith & Cierra Doblado. Several nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his wife in 1996;his son, Marvin Kriska in 1985; his parents; two brothers;and four sisters.

      Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 7PM in Keever Chapel. Visitation from 6-8PM. Service will be held on Friday at 2PM at St. John Church with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Garcia will officiate under the direction of JE Keever Mortuary. Pallbearers: Wesley Betik, Ray Call, Chris Pechal, Leroy Vrzalik, Billy Richardson and Curtis Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers: Granddaughter, Tracy Henry-Doblado, and great-granddaughters, Faith Ann Doblado and Cierra Marie Doblado.
