JULIA ANN SATSKYHALLETTSVILLE - Julia Ann Satsky, 99, of Hallettsville, died March 1, 2009.She was born on Jan. 10, 1910 to Ludvik and Mary Kahanek Krenek in Hallettsville. She married Louis P. Satsky on Jan. 6, 1931 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. She was a member of KJZT and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Julia is survived by son, Dennis Satsky Sr. and wife Ora Nell of Hallettsville; three daughters, Margaret Berckenhoff of Moulton, Pasty Kalmus and husband Steve of Sugarland, and Barbara Crisp and husband Dudley of Pearland; two brothers, Jaro and Frank Krenek of Hallettsville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Julia was preceded in death by her husband Louis on Dec. 13, 1995; parents; grandson; son-in-law, Otto Berckenhoff; three brothers, Louis, Jerome, and Robert Krenek; and three sisters, Mary Michna, Hermina Zabransky, and Annie Prasek.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Kubena Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville with the Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Steve Kalmus Jr., Gary Kalmus, Michael Crisp, Dennis Satsky Jr., Johnnie Michna, and Gregory Berckenhoff. Honorary pallbearers: grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
