Albina Emily Martinek Roesler, 95, of San Marcos
died Wednesday evening, June 20 at Central Texas Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
June 23, at Pennington Funeral Home. Interment was in the Memory Lawn
Memorial Park, Martindale.
Roesler was born March 1, 1912 in Ellinger, the
daughter of Joe and Vera Martinek. Roesler and her late husband Robert
operated Roeslers' Café on what is now LBJ Drive in San Marcos in the 1950's and
60s. She worked at the San Marcos J.C. Penney Store for many years.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and The Claretian Guild.
She had been a member of Herman Sons Lodge for more than 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her
husband, Robert Roesler.
Survivors include her children, L. F. "Red" Jurecka
of San Marcos and Frankie Higdon and husband DeWayne of Houston; grandchildren,
Jeffrey Higdon and wife Lori of Cypress, Wesley Higdon and wife Tina of Sugar
Land and Cynthia Demeris and husband Frank of Houston; great-grandchildren,
Kaitlin Higdon, Julia Higdon, and Justin Higdon of Cypress, Lauren Higdon and
Cody Higdon of Sugar Land and Nickolas Demeris, Yanni Demeris, and Frankie
Demeris of Houston.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Roesler's name
may be made to the Claretian Guild, St. John's Catholic Church or to the Texan
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in San Marcos.
Pennington Funeral Home of San Marcos was in charge
