      DIANE W. ORSAK
       
      Diane Wittenburg Orsak, age 60 of Wharton died July 27 in a Houston hospital following a brief illness.
       
      Following cremation, memorial services were held July 31 at the Wharton Funeral Home chapel, with Father Gabriel Espinosa officiating.
       
      Serving as honorary pallbearers were her nephews, nieces and many close friends.
       
      Diane was born on July 21, 1948 in Sealy, the daughter of Homer Wittenburg and Lucille Goebel Wittenburg.
       
      She had been a resident of Wharton since 1967 and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton.  She married Edward Roy Orsak on Jan. 28, 1967 in Sealy.
       
      Diane was a homemaker and loved gardening and crafts.  Her greatest loves were her husband and five grandchildren.
       
      She is survived by her husband, Ed Orsak of Wharton; daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Larry Cissna of Sweeny; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Nicole Orsak of Wharton; mother, Lucille Wittenburg of Cat Spring; brother, Gene Wittenburg of Cat Spring; and grandchildren, Wyatt Cissna, Jake Cissna, Haley Cissna, Britney Orsak and Amber Orsak.
       
      She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Wittenburg; and in-laws, Edward and Tonie Orsak.
       
      In lieu of the usual remembrances the family requests memorials be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 3120 Southwest Freeway, Suite 215, Houston, Texas 77098.
       
      Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
