      Joe Leopold Jedlicka, 83, of Port Alto, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004.
       
      He was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Frydek, to the late Anton and Julia Novak Jedlicka.  He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.  He received a bronze star and a purple heart.  He was an operator for Alcoa with 32 years of service and a Catholic.
       
      Survivors: wife, Mary S. Buzek Jedlicka; daughters, Beatrice Ann Pass of Denton and Darlene Rose Huston of Lake Jackson; son, Gary J. Jedlicka of Houston; sisters, Lillie Janis of Olivia and Annie Kaluza of El Campo; brothers, Frank Jedlicka of Wharton and Henry Jedlicka of Olivia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
       
      Preceded in death by: daughter, Patricia Jedlicka; and brothers, Anton Jedlicka and Johnnie Jedlicka.
       
      Visitation will begin 7 p.m. tonight at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home chapel.
       
      Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
       
      Burial with military honors under the auspices of VFW Post 4403 will be in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.  Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, Port Lavaca.
       
      Memorials: Olivia-Port Alto Fire Department c/o Jimmie Abraham, Port Lavaca, Texas.
