      Milton Frank Vrla, Sr.
      (July 11, 1920 - December 30, 2008)
      Mr. Milton Vrla, Sr., 88, passed away December 30, 2008 at Ennis
      Regional Medical Center in Ennis.
      Milton was born July 11, 1920 in Creechville, Texas the son of Frank
      Leonard Vrla, Sr. and Albina Kouba Vrla. He was reared in Creechville
      and Dallas and attended high school in Dallas. September 28, 1940, he
      was married to Albina Ozymy and they made their home in Dallas. They
      resided in Dallas until 2000 when they returned to Ennis. Milton was
      employed by Winston Ironcraft and North American Aviation. He owned
      Seagoville Sand and Gravel and Milton's Equipment and Repair. He held
      memberships in SPJST Lodge 130 (Dallas), WFLA, KJT, Dallas Czech
      Club, P.O.L.K.of A., and the Dallas Czech Singers. He held several
      positions with the SPJST Lodge 130 and WFLA.

      Milton is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Albina Ozymy Vrla;
      one son, Milton Frank Vrla, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Ennis; two
      daughters: Deanna Marie Houpy and her husband, Jerry, of Dallas and
      Shirley Annette Vrla, and her husband, Donald Markus, of Houston; one
      step-sister, Georgia Vrla Allums, of Bedford; eight grandchildren and
      five great grandchildren.

      He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Mary Vrla
      Plasek; brother, Raymond Vrla; step-brothers: Frank L. Vrla, Jr. and
      Emil Vrla and step-sister, Libbie Vrla Mageors.

      Rosary will be Friday, January 2, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Keever
      Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday,
      January 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church. Interment
      will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of J. E. Keever
      Mortuary, Inc. Pallbearers: Raymond Faraizl, Brent Vrla, Kenneth
      Moore, Michael W. Houpy, Gregory W. Houpy and David Raymond Markus.
      Honorary: Lisa-Marie Houpy Penland, Andrew George Markus, Catherine
      N. Markus and Brittany Vrla Moore.
