                     40 oz. can cut yams, drained
                      1/2 c. chopped pecans (walnuts)
                      1/2 c. coconut
                      1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
                      1/4 c. flour
                      1/4 c. margarine or butter, melted

      Heat oven to 350 deg.F.....Place drained yams in ungreased 2-qt. casserole or baking dish. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients, blend well. Sprinkle over yams. Bake for 35-40 min. or until bubbly. 10 servings


      What I did is double the recipe for a larger dish. Then I drained the yams and mashed them up. I added the melted butter, walnuts, coconut, brwn sugar, flour and mixed with the mashed yams. Then I spread them in a baking dish. Next, I took the same amount of butter, walnuts, coconut, brown sugar and flour and mixed them well. After I took that mixture and spread on top of the yam mixture and then baked them. I find that this way makes for a more delicious casserole and get more compliments. Either way, it makes a great dish. Good luck and enjoy!!!
