      John Anton Stransky
      AFuneral Mass for JOHN ANTON STRANSKY, 64, of Needville, will be held at 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. Father Don Schwarting will officiate the services. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Arch Angel Cemetery in Needville (Foster School Road at Williams School Road). Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 P. M., Monday, August 4, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville.
       
      Johnnie was born December 10, 1943 in Needville to Anton John Stransky and Martha Bujnoch Stransky. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, and has served on St. Michael's Parish Council, the Bazaar Committee, and numerous other committees over the years. He served as chairman of the Senior Citizens Annual Fundraiser for 3 years and a founding member of Knights of Columbus #7067, where he served as Grand Knight, as well as many other positions. He passed away August 1, 2008 in Houston. He recently retired from the Texas Farm Bureau where he had worked for 31 years and was honored with many awards and certifications. John had many friends and was always happy to happy to help others.
       
      Johnnie is preceded in death by his father, Anton John Stransky. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dona Dansby Stransky; his children, Stephen Michael Stransky and wife, Shauna, Elizabeth Lynn Stransky, Christy Louise Stransky; grandson, Sloan Michael Stransky; his mother, Martha Stransky; sisters, Mary Lou Jardin, Dorothy Stavinoha, Kathy Sury and husband, Bobby; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
       
      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Needville Knights of Columbus 7067 Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 613, Needville, Tx 77461 or to your favorite charity.
