DAVID WAYNE FIKACTELFERNER - David Wayne Fikac, age 58, of Telferner, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008. He was born Aug. 13, 1949, in Shiner, to Victor Fikac and Dorothy Opela-Fikac.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Eva Luna-Fikac of Telferner; his three brothers, Kenneth, Anthony and Ronald Fikac of Inez; his daughters, Laurie Fikac-Soule of Victoria and Kristina Fikac of Telferner; sons, David Jr. of Austin and Brian Fikac of Taylor; step-children, John and Jake Luna of Telferner and Joanna Sanderson of McKinney; his eight grandchildren; nephew, Mike Fikac of Mission Valley; and niece, Amber Fikac-Benedict of Seaside, Calif.
David was a mechanic and owned and operated David's Transmission in Telferner. He was a devoted, hard-working family man who loved his wife, brothers, children, and grandchildren. Though he enjoyed the simpler things in life, he loved and lived his life to the fullest. David was a good husband, a good brother, a good dad, and a good friend. He enjoyed fishing, especially with family and friends, at his special little spot at Bennet Park. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
His family will honor him with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. this evening at Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens, 361-578-3611.
