      LOUISE - Willie Edward "Bill" Popp, 92, passed away on June 30, 2008. He was born on June 20,1916, in Hillje to the late Edward and Pauline Kainer Popp. He was an honorary member of the Louise Volunteer Fire Department.
      He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruby Kainer Popp of Louise; daughter-in-law, Shirley Popp of Louise; three grandchildren, Robin Sless of Louise, Michelle "Peanut" Nunnelly and husband Gary of Sheridan, and Kendra Charbula and husband Scott of Louise; six great-grandchildren, Dustin Sless and wife Catherine of El Campo, Destiny Sless of Beeville, Justin Lipinski of El Campo, Jessica Lipinski of Sheridan, and Colby and Clayton Nunnelly of Sheridan; and one great-great-grandson, Daylan Wayne Sless of El Campo; and a sister, Rosalie Popp Hlavaty of Hillje.
      He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Warren Popp in 1972 and Wayne E. Popp in 2006; sisters, Mary Kovar and Annie Popp; and brother, Frank Popp.
      Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Hillje. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church with the Rev. Clement Quainoo. Burial will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery.
      Pallbearers will be Philip Huvar, Paul Feagin, Clarence Kovar, Norbert Popp, Larry Hlavaty, Dwayne Courville, Raymond Poncik, and James Heard.
      Honorary pallbearers Joe Henderson, Jay Heard, Jimmy Trojcak, Cecil Sanchez, R.J. Strnadel, Jr., Steve Henderson, Mike Prasek Sr., Larry Knebel, and Donald Huvar.
      Memorial donations may be made to St. Procopius Church or Louise Volunteer Fire Dept.
