EDMOND G. BURESGANADO - Edmond G. Bures, 87, of Ganado, passed away on June 2, 2008. He was born on June 8, 1920, in Ganado, to the late Charles A. and Ella Fojtik Bures. He was a member of KJT and VFW 4403 of Port Lavaca. He was a WWII Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Schmidt Bures of Ganado; daughters, Yvonne "Fritz" Bures and partner Gail McBride of Round Rock, Monica Bures of Beeville, and Camilla Beard and husband Jarrell of Marquez; son, Mark Bures of El Campo; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Bendele of D'Hanis and Agnes Breiten of Hondo. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George and Charles Bures; and daughter-in-law, Claudia Bures.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at Triska Funeral Home in El Campo. A rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Johnson Owusu-Boating officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Assumption Cemetery under the auspices of the VFW Post 4403 of Port Lavaca.
