Evelyn A. Trojacek of Schulenburg passed away on Wednesday, April 30 at age 74 years, 6 months, 2 days.
The funeral was held on Friday, May 2 at 10a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tim Kosler officiated.
A rosary led by her parish family and Catholic Daughters was recited on Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Darren Holub, nephew, and J.R. Lichnovsky, B.J. Trojacek, David Trojacek, Justin Trojacek and Tyler Trojacek, all grandsons. Remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren were named as honorary pallbearers.
She was born on October 28, 1933 in Weimar to Adelaide (Mendel) and Ignac Holub. She attended St. Michael’s School. Mrs. Trojacek worked as a housewife, baby-sitter and caregiver. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and American Legion Auxiliary. Her family writes, "She was very proud of her family and all the little children she would baby-sit. She loved to cook and to bake kolaches and poppyseed rolls."
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lad and Denise Trojacek, and Michael and Dana Trojacek, all of Schulenburg; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Trojacek; first husband, Alphonse Lichnovsky; two sons, Kenneth and Mark Lichnovsky; and a brother, two sisters and a grandson
Schwenke-Baumagarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
