Julie Tupa, 93 years, 10 days, passed away at Colonial Belle Nursing Home in Sealy on Tuesday, April 1 at 11:55 a.m.
The funeral was held on Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at the Moravia Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. John Peters officiated. Pallbearers were David Nastoupil, Maclom Ranly, Erik Stankus, Jason Bonney, Tom Bonney and Bernard Tupa.
Rosary was recited on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home.
Born on March 22, 1915 in Moravia, she was the daughter of Charles and Frances (Kalcak) Adamcik. She attended Moravia School. Her marriage to Frank Tupa took place on May 26, 1931 at the St. John’s Catholic Church. A housewife, Mrs. Tupa resided in Moravia for 55 years, Houston for 17 years and Sealy for 21 years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Willie and Veronica Tupa of Sealy; and six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband on Jan. 24, 1993; and a son, Julius Tupa, on Oct. 5, 2002.
