EDWARD JOSEPH TOBOLA, 69, passed away on April 28, 2008. Ed was born in Houston, Texas on January 5, 1939 to Edd and Ann Tobola.

Growing up in central Houston, Ed won city tennis championships and attended the University of Houston. After serving in the United States Air Force, he married Maureen Wagner, a bridesmaid in his best friend's wedding. Ed and Maureen had two children, John and Suzanne. Ed retired from a successful career in the corrugated box industry in 2005, and he and Maureen spent their days traveling the country and enjoying time with their children, grandson and many friends. Ed was a lover of life, and took pleasure in the simple things. He enjoyed being outdoors and listening to baseball games on the radio. He loved a well done steak, fried shrimp and cheese enchiladas. Ed's greatest passion was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Maureen; his son John and wife Dolores Cavatore; his daughter Suzanne and husband Tommie Hong; his grandson Colin; his brother Leroy and wife Carol; and his sisters-in-law: Katie and husband Roger, Nancy and husband Jim and Mary Beth and Rick; as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles across the country.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ed's life at a Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 10688 Shadow Wood Dr., on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made in Ed's name to MD Anderson Cancer Center. We would like to thank our family and friends for their unending support and love.
