      Henrietta (Kubala) Motl
      Saturday, March 29, 2008


      Henrietta (Kubala) Motl, age 90, passed away Friday,
      March 28, 2008, in Wichita Falls.

      Christian wake services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday,
      March 30, 2008, at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home
      Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday,
      March 31, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church
      with Father Raymond McDaniel and Deacon Jim Novak
      officiating. Interment will be in the Bomarton
      Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Seymour
      Memorial Funeral Home.

      Mrs. Motl was born Aug. 26, 1917, in Baylor County,
      Texas, to Louis and Sophie Krenek Kubala. She married
      Jerome John Motl on Nov. 28, 1939, in Seymour, Texas,
      and together they farmed their land until retiring in
      1978. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic
      Church in Bomarton, where she was a member of the
      Altar Society and choir. After moving to Seymour, she
      became a part of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
      where she was also active in the Altar Society and
      choir. She was a member and longtime Secretary of KJZT
      Lodge #56.

      She worked at the Western Auto Store in Seymour, for
      20 years, and was known as one of the “Kolach and
      Bread” Queens from Bomarton.

      She is survived by three daughters, Jerrie Ann
      Hutchison and husband, Bruce of Burkburnett, Texas,
      Patsy Jordan and husband, Gene of Iowa Park, Texas,
      and Sally Thornhill and husband, Chris of Snyder,
      Texas; by a son, Larry Motl and wife, Linda of Iowa
      Park, Texas; by nine grandchildren, Jonathan Holub,
      Melissa Varazlic and husband, Sasa, Melinda Rojas and
      husband, Oscar, Kelsey Motl, Le Ann Proctor and
      husband, Matt, Sandi Jordan, Jared Thornhill, Sara
      Thornhill and William Hutchison; by four
      great-grandchildren, Lynel Holub, Luka Varazlic,
      Alaina Rojas and Kolton Proctor; by a sister, Mary
      Matus of Red Springs; and by a brother, Louis Kubala,
      Jr. and his wife, Lucille of Seymour, Texas.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
      Jerome J. Motl on Sept. 17, 2006; a granddaughter,
      Shonda Jordan; three sisters, Christine Kubala, Helen
      Kubala, and Vlasta Macik; and by a brother, Ben
      Kubala.

      The family asks that memorials be made to the Sacred
      Heart Catholic Church in Seymour, or to the Hospice of
      Wichita Falls.

        Thanks for posting the obit.  Wes and I just got back from the funeral.  We made a flying trip after 7:30 Mass yesterday morning.  We made the Rosary and Wake service last night and the funeral today.  Saw your brother, Jerry and talked with him.  Wes was asked to be a pallbearer.  Henrietta really was still so pretty.  It was good to see all the cousins and family again.

        Time to go to sleep!

          Thanks for posting the obit.  Wes and I just got back from the funeral.  We made a flying trip after 7:30 Mass yesterday morning.  We made the Rosary and Wake service last night and the funeral today.  Saw your brother, Jerry and talked with him.  Wes was asked to be a pallbearer.  Henrietta really was still so pretty.  It was good to see all the cousins and family again.
