CALDWELL — Services for Frank Joseph “Uncle Poncho” Fojt Jr., 87, of Snook are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Snook Brethren Church.
The Revs. Henry Beseda and Joseph Polasek will officiate. Burial will be in the Snook Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mr. Fojt died Friday at his home.
He was born in Needville and was a member of the Snook Brethren Church, where he served on the Board of Elders for many years. He graduated from Caldwell schools in 1935 and was a farmer and operated two cotton gins.
Mr. Fojt served on the Snook City Water Board and was assistant water plant operator from 1983 to 1990. He also served on the Snook City Council and Snook school board and was a volunteer at Burleson St. Joseph Manor for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Milady O. Gerzik Fojt; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Frank J. Fojt III of Snook and Allen and Peggy Fojt of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Jimmy Williams of Ruidoso, N.M.; a sister, Elsie Hull of Litchfield, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Snook Brethren Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
