Milady Olga Gerzik Fojt

Funeral services for Milady Olga Gerzik Fojt, 91, a lifelong resident of Snook, will be at 3 p.m. Monday, October 29 at Snook Brethren Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 28 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 29 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. She passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at her home in Snook.
Mrs. Fojt was born May 17, 1916 in Snook to Joe and Vlasta Vajdak Gerzik. She attended school in Caldwell. She married Frank J. Fojt Jr. on August 16, 1939. For many years, she worked as a technician at Texas A&M University in College Station.
She was an accomplished musician. She played the organ at the Snook Brethren Church for over 70 years, following in her mother's footsteps. She also played for the Brethren Youth Fellowship for over 20 years. In 1993, Frank and Milady Fojt were selected at the King and Queen of the Burleson County Kolache Festival in Caldwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Allen and Peggy Fojt of Houston and Frank Fojt III of Snook; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Jimmy Williams of Ruidoso, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be given to the Snook Brethren Church or Brazos Valley Hospice.
