obituary Frances Kubiak
- Frances Kubiak, 93, entered into rest Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. A funeral
mass will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with
the Rev. John Boiko officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kubiak was born Aug. 20, 1914 in Marlin, to Joe and Annie Wichkowski.
She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was
involved in several committees. Frances was an expert seamstress since she
was 10 years old. In her spare time she loved to spend time with her family
traveling and even made a couple of trips to the casinos. She was always
full of life, even getting her drivers license for the first time at age 74.
She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two

Forney, Texas, Clara and husband Leslie Cohn of Katy, Texas, and Helen and
husband Floyd Zahn, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sons, John and wife,
Marilyn Kubiak of Friendswood, Texas, and Frank A. Kubiak, Jr. of Galveston,
Texas; one brother, Martin Wichkowski of Houston; two grandchildren, Keith
Cohn and Karen Gilbert; and one great-grandchild, Garrett Gilbert.
