Emma Mach (October 3, 1912 - January 21, 2008)
Emma Cikanek Mach, affectionately known as Mambo, age 95, of Dallas, died on January 21, 2008.
Born October 3, 1912 in Ennis, Texas to Joe and Anna (Barta) Cikanek. She married Louis J. Mach on Nov. 1, 1931 in Ennis, Texas where they farmed before moving to Dallas.
Emma worked for Donavan Galvani thirty years and was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, KJZT, and RVOS 142 of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Mach who passed away on March 1, 1966, and her great-grandson Mark Cochran on September 15, 2006.
Emma is survived by daughter, Jean Prachyl of Dallas; three grand children; Monica Prachyl Cochran and husband Mike Cochran; Charlotte Prachyl Sheaner and husband Mike Sheaner, Dave Prachyl and wife Tricia Prachyl; and four great-grandchildren; Elaine and Erin Cochran of Dallas; and Andrew and Matthew Prachyl of Ennis. She is also survived be her sister, Lillie Mahdak of Dallas.
Emma was a kind and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mark Cochran Scholarship Fund, Cistercian Preparatory School, 1 Cistercian Road, Irving, TX 75039.
Rosary will be Friday January 25, 2007 at 1pm. Mass will immediately follow. Rev. Garcia will officiate under the direction of JE Keever Mortuary. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
