    Frances R. Kosarek of Grapevine, Texas, formally of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully after a short illness on October 26, 2007. She was 89.

      Frances R. Kosarek of Grapevine, Texas, formally of Corpus Christi,
      Texas, passed away peacefully after a short illness on October 26,
      2007. She was 89.
      Frances Rose Zapletal Kosarek was born to Frank T. and Mary Kolar
      Zapletal on January 24, 1918, in the St. Mary's Community, Lavaca
      County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband
      Charles L. Kosarek, Sr., two sisters Mary Knesek and Julia Tousek,
      and two brothers Louis and William Zapletal. As a young girl, her
      family moved to Shiner, Texas where she attended a rural school. In
      1935, she came to Corpus Christi, Texas to work as a nurses' aide at
      Spohn Hospital. She worked in the Nursery on the 3rd floor, where
      Sister Benjamin was in charge. She loved taking care of the newborns
      and their mothers and planned a career in nursing. Later, she met
      Charles L. Kosarek, Sr. and they were married in 1937 at Saint Cyril
      and Methodius Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1946, they moved
      on a farm in the West Oso Community. She was a homemaker. She loved
      to sew and garden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and
      great-grandmother. Her children and their families were her greatest
      joy. She was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church, the St. Pius
      X Altar and Rosary Society, Fraternal Lodge K.J.Z.T #46 and
      Associate Member of K.J.T. #72, American Legion Auxiliary Post 364,
      AARP Chapter 244, The Czech Heritage Society and the Czech Women's
      Circle. She also served on the Board of the Behmann Brothers
      Charitable Foundation, which her husband helped establish.
      She is survived by her two sons, Charles L. Kosarek, Jr. (Mildred)
      of Corpus Christi, Texas, Joshua Kosarek (Pat Hall) of Green Forest,
      Arkansas and one daughter Karen Clark (Jeffrey) of Grapevine, Texas.
      She is also survived by four grandchildren Sherry M. Kosarek of
      Corpus Christi, Texas, Nancy Lindell (Dr. Richard Lindell) of
      Keller, Texas, Nicholas Clark of New York, NY and Andrea Clark of
      College Station, Texas. She is also survived by three great grand-
      children Amanda Warren of San Antonio, Texas, Tristin Butler of
      Keller, Texas and Hunter Lindell of Keller, Texas.
      Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007 in
      the Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be held at
      7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral
      Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday,
      October 30, 2007 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow
      at Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials or
      contributions may be made to the Women's Shelter or a charity of
      your choice.
