MARVIN R. KANAK, 79, beloved husband of Ann Kanak and father of Tom, David, and Gail Fults, passed away on May 28, 2007.
Marvin was born in El Campo, Texas, on January 13, 1928 to Ollie and Myrtle Kanak and is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Tom, and sister, Reba Motal.
He graduated from El Campo High School, the University of Texas, and South Texas College of Law. After high school, he served with the army prior to college. Marvin practiced law in Needville, Texas, for many years and was loved and respected by all who came in contact with him. His ability to charm and entertain with a word or a song was legendary. Once he began playing his guitar and singing, no one would let him quit.
