      April 17, 2007
      Viola Cecilia Zapalac Hrachovy, 84, of the Ellinger-fayetteville area died April 10 at Monument Hill Nursing Center in La Grange.
      Funeral services were held:  April 13 at St John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial in St Mary’s  Cemetery near Ellinger. The Rev. Stephen Nesrsta officiated.
      Born:  Nov. 22, 1922 in Frelsburg
      Parents:  Fred and Anna (Noska) Zapalac
      Married to: Jim Charles Hrachovy. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1967.
      She was a former cook at the Bon Ton Restaurant and Cottonwood Inn Restaurant and other restaurants. She was a member of St John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Altar Society, KJT Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
      Survivors include:  2 daughters, Kathy Svoboda and husband Mike of Ellinger and Pat Mascheck and husband Bernard of Fayetteville; 2 sons, Jimmy Hrachovy of Brenham and Lawrence Hrachovy of Fayetteville;  1 sister, Julia Hrachovy of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandsons.
      Preceded in death by: her husband; brothers, Sylvester and John Zapalac; sisters, Elizabeth Shula; son-in-law Lester Dominey; grandchildren, Michelle Lee Mascheck and Cameron Lewing Dominey
      Fayette Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
