      John Paul Michalsky, 81 died Dec. 31 in Houston.
      Funeral services were held:  Jan. 3 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Houston with burial in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
      Born:   June 26, 1925 in Fayetteville
      Parents:    John and Julia (Matocha) Michalsky
      Married to:  Lorine Chovanec  on Sept. 18, 1951 in Columbus.
      After marriage he moved to Houston and worked for Schlumberger Oil Tool Co. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where he served as an usher for 25 years, a member of SPJST Lodge # 88 and P.O.L.K. of  A.
       Survivors include: his wife; son, Johnny F. Michalsky and wife Mary; grandsons, Kristopher and wife Sabrina, Nicholas and wife Susa; great-grandsons, Christian, Joseph and Bradley; great-granddaughter, Kaela; brother-in-law, Joe Tanecka; and sister-in-law ,Rose Tanecka.
      Preceded in death by:    parents and 3 brothers.
      Earthman Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of arrangements.
