    Mrs. Juanita F. Skirvanek, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at the Select Speciality Hospital in DeSoto. She was born July 9, 1932 in Palmer, the daughter of

      Mrs. Juanita F. Skirvanek, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at the
      Select Speciality Hospital in DeSoto. She was born July 9, 1932 in
      Palmer, the daughter of Robert and Robena Davis Hawkins. She was
      reared in Palmer where she attended school. On March 25, 1949 she
      was married to George Albert Skrivanek. After their marriage they
      lived in Crisp. She was employed as a seamstress with Royal Park
      Fashions for 10 years. Mr. Skrivanek preceded her in death in 1998.
      She loved to cook, garden and sew for her family. She was a member
      of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Ennis and a board member of the
      Crisp Cemetery Assoc. She is survived by two sons, George Skrivanek,
      Jr and friend, Redia of Ennis, Garry and his wife, Tray Skrivanek of
      Ennis; three daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Danny Salik,
      Patricia and Larry Prda, Nita and Don Cate all of Ennis; a brother,
      Jerry Hawkins of Alma; a sister, June Zaidle of Ennis; 11
      grandchildren, Nikki Salik, Angela Davis, LeAnn Prda, Meagan and
      Hunter Cate, Joey and her husband Bob Sherman, Tricia Skirvanek,
      George and his wife, Amanda Skrivanek, III, Johnathen, Marissa and
      Dalton Skrivanek; and 6 great grandchildren, Ashley and Jasmine
      Sherman, Tevin, Jayden and Haven Davis and Arianna Prda. She was
      preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bob and Charles
      Hawkins and a sister, Ruth Harper. Graveside services will be held
      at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Crisp Cemetery under the direction of J.E.
      Keever Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home
      from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
