    Mrs. Mary Macalik, 96, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at the Ennis Care Center. She was boen Nov. 12, 1910 in Ennis, the daughter of Frank and Bessie Hejny

      Mrs. Mary Macalik, 96, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at the Ennis
      Care Center. She was boen Nov. 12, 1910 in Ennis, the daughter of
      Frank and Bessie Hejny Faraizl. She was reared in Ennis, Bardwell
      and Garrett where she attended school. On Oct. 25, 1932 she was
      married to Otto Macalik of Ennis. After their marriage they lived in
      the Creechville Community. She was employed as a seamstress for
      Donovan-Galvani for several years. Mr. Macalik preceded her in death
      on March 7, 2004. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She
      is survived by three sons and their wives, Otto J. and Norma Macalik
      of Bristol, Gene and Linda Macalik of Lamar, AR, David and Joyce
      Macalik of Ennis; a sister, Annie Vrana of Ennis; 12 grandchildren;
      22 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was
      preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Macalik, in Oct. 2000. Rosary
      will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the
      Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John
      Catholic Church with Rev. Edison Vela as celebrant. Interment will
      follow in St. Josephs Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever
      Mortuary. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Macalik, Jason
      Macalik, Michael Macalik, Jeff Macalik, Richard Macalik, Kenneth
      Macalik, Gene William Macalik and George Macalik. Honorary
      pallbearers will be Lillie Ann O'Brien, Jeanne Rivers, Kathy Arteaga
      and April Holahan.
