      FELIX R. PEKAR

      YOAKUM - Felix R. Pekar, 91, of Yoakum, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007.
      He was born on May 13, 1915 in Lavaca County to the late Frank and Mary Kocian Pekar. He was a supervisor with Tex Tan Leather Company, a Catholic and a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus.

      Survivors: daughter, Mary Mae Porche of Edna; sons, Lawrence Pekar and Harvey Pekar, both of Yoakum; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; four step-great-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Georgie Vanek, Betty Schaefer and Adela Vanek, all of Houston, Dorothy Dworsky of Seguin, Elizabeth Dworsky of Bloomington and Helen Bujnoch of Hallettsville; and one brother, Albin Pekar of Houston.
      Preceded in death by: wife, Adella Janak Pekar; two daughters, Gladys McElroy and Irene Kline; grandson Ricky Kline; and three brothers, Julius Pekar, Victor Pekar and Jerome Pekar.

      Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  Pallbearers: Mark Pekar, John Pekar, Joe Rainosek, Tim Porche, Stacy Kline and Brent Billstein.
       
      Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph School Endowment Fund.
