LILLIE R. STRELEC BAKERVICTORIA - Lillie R. Strelec Baker, 80, of Victoria, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007. She was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Columbus to the late John J. and Ida Miller Noska.
Lillie was a retired business owner and a member at Baptist Temple. She spent her time enjoying her family, gardening, canning, cooking and baking.
Survivors include: her sons, Allan Strelec and wife Monica of Victoria and Johnnie Strelec of Inez; brother, Leo Noska of El Campo; sister, Nelda Keenan; grandchildren, Tracy Strelec, Kristi Strelec and Austin Strelec; and close friend, Lawrence Koehl. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Adolph Strelec; second husband, Fred B. Baker; and brothers, Adolph, Pete, and Paul Noska.
Visitation will be held 7-8 p.m. today at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, the Rev. J.V. Helms officiating. Interment to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens of Edna. Pallbearers: I.G. Matula, Emil Frysak, Nicky Huff, Jody Staff, Randy Keenan and Dan Nugent.
