      Czech grammar 101 addendum
The whole group is missing a fine point of the Czech grammar.
If the word, in this case name, ends with "long a" – “Jana Kováøovᔠ- it is just a female gender of name Kováø (blacksmith) . It has nothing to do with being married or single; it is just a female name format.
If the word ends with “short a” – “kováøova kobyla” – we have blacksmith’s horse (mare).
If the form is “Kováøova kobyla” – we have a mare belonging to someone’s named “Kováø”.
      So, in closing
      “Kováøova kobyla chodi bosa”
      English equivalent
      “Shoemaker’s daughter goes barefoot.”

      Václav
