LOUISE KNIPPA MILLERVICTORIA - Louise Knippa Miller, 100, of Victoria, died Saturday, March 17, 2007. She was born Feb. 16, 1907, in Knippa, to the late Lena Marie Fuchs Knippa and Charles George Miller.
She was a retired teacher with VISD and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a former member of Morning Study Club, Sew & Sew Club, and Retired Teachers Association. The taught many years at Juan Linn and Vickers Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Park of Victoria; nieces, Carolyn Hofmann of La Grange, Elizabeth Knippa and Kathy Knippa, both of Round Rock, Judy Moody of Victoria, Rosemary Perkins of Gonzales, and Sherilyn Howze of Victoria; nephews, Bill Knippa of San Antonio, Charles Hofmann and John Hoffman, both of La Grange, James Brady of Longview, Ronnie Miller of Pensacola, Fla., and Terrell Gass of Fort Worth. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin E. Miller; sister, Rose Hofmann; and brothers, Edwin Knippa, George Knippa, and Werner Knippa.
A special "Thank You" from the family goes to the following people for the love and compassion shown to Louise: Dr. Frank Parma, Emilie Gardner, Mary Lauer, Krystle Braden, and the staff of Hospice of South Texas.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Barney Matocha officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
