ALICE JURANEK SOCHAEL CAMPO - Alice Juranek Socha of El Campo died March 2, 2007 at the age of 84.She was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Granger, to the late Anton and Frances Hermis Juranek. She was a homemaker, a Catholic, and a member of the Taiton Altar Society and KJZT Society.She is survived by her sons, Albert Socha and wife Barbara of El Campo, Harry and wife Jeanette Socha of El Campo, Eugene Socha and wife Dianne of Louise; daughter, Georgia Sanchez and husband Remedio of Orange; grandchildren, Kathy Socha, Patsy Baker and husband Bubba, Betty Staff and husband Emil, Becky Fredrickson and husband Brett, Wayne and Kirk Socha, Lenice Socha, Kevin Socha and wife Katrina, and Dustin Socha; and great-grandchildren, Amber Socha, Shay Fredrickson, Kyndal Brune, Tyler Socha, Brittany and Bethany Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund, parents, and brothers, Louis and Richard Juranek.
Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday at Triska Funeral Home in El Campo. A rosary will be recited 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 5 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bob Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Socha, Wayne Socha, Kirk Socha, Dustin Socha, Daniel Juranek, Emil Staff, Brett Fredrickson and Bubba Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel and Evelyn Linhart, Eleanora Mican, John and Cathy Hrncir, Ricky Hubenak, Martha Hubenak and Helen Hlavaty.
