BOB WAYNE HUBENAKTIDEWATER OAKS - Bob Wayne Hubenak, 61, of Tidewater Oaks, formerly of El Campo, passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007.
He was born May 9, 1945 in El Campo to the late Robert and Josie Nitsche Hubenak. He was a control operator for Alcoa-Point Comfort, retiring in 2000. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam where he earned a Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of the Blessing American Legion and a lifetime member of VFW.
He is survived by: his wife, Sue Ann Mitchell Hubenak of Palacios; two daughters, Rebecca Hubenak-Harness and husband Kent of Austin and Judy Perry and husband James of El Campo; three grandchildren, Nathan and Ethan Harness and Kalynn Perry; five brothers, Bennie Hubeank of Ariz., Lawrence Hubenak of Ark., Daniel Hubenak of El Cam-po, Leon Hubenak of Freeport and Leonard Hubenak of El Campo; and three sisters, Betty Lou Urbanovsky of Schulenberg, Beatrice Olsovsky of Victoria and Linda Schilhab of El Campo. He was preceded in death by: one brother, Gene Hubenak; one sister, Dorothy Cormier; and one granddaughter, Jacie Perry.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. today at Triska Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Triska Funeral Home, the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park with full military honors under the auspices of Blessing American Legion.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
