      WHARTON - Mrs. Annie Ruth Boehm, age 94, of Wharton died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 in Wharton following an extended illness.
       
      She was born Dec. 21, 1912 in Hungerford, the daughter of the late John Hlavac and Veronika Muhlstein Hlavac.  Mrs. Boehm had been a resident of Wharton since 1954 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, in Wharton, and the Altar Society.
       
      She was preceded in death by her husband Henry James Boehm in 1999, two sisters, and three brothers.  Survivors include her sisters, Alma Brosch, Agnes Holik, and Mary Zappe, all of Hallettsville; brothers, Lado Hlavac of Hallettsville and Willie Hlavac of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Friends may call for visitation after 1 p.m. today at Wharton Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at the chapel of the Wharton Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.

      In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church Altar Society, 2011 Briar Lane, Wharton, Texas 77488 or charity of your choice.
