      CECILIA F. HOLLAND

      Cecilia F. Holland, 69, of Round Rock, passed away on Dec. 26, 2006 in her home surrounded by her family.
       
      She was born on Oct. 4, 1937 to Edward and Angelina Petru in Corpus Christi. She graduated as a registerd nurse from St. Mary's School of Nursing in June 1959. On Feb. 10, 1962, she married Samuel M. Holland Jr. and they resided in Austin. They later moved to New Mexico, living in Farm-ington, Gallup, and Alamogordo before returning to Texas in 1991, choosing Round Rock for their home.

      Cecilia was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated herself to the love and care of her family. She was a caring and hardworking nurse for 40 years, working primarily in obstetrics as a labor and delivery nurse. She touched countless lives with her loving manner and warm spirit. She was an avid reader with a sharp mind and easy laugh.
       
      Cecilia is survived by her husband of 44 years, Samuel M. Holland Jr.; daughters, Samantha Manuel and husband, Robof Garrett, Indiana; Stephanie Kuehl and husband, Brian of Pflugerville; son, Samuel and wife Billie Jo of Georgetown; grandchildren Kyle, Angelina, Riley, Elijah, Gavin, and Bree; siblings, Edith Krenek of Victoria, Louis Petru and wife Dorothy of Corpus Christi, Godfrey Petru and wife Evelyn of Goliad, Joe Petru of Long Mott, Angeline Kapusta and husband John of Corpus Christi, Edward Petru and wife Margaret of Corpus Christi, Henry Petru of Austin, and Lillian Steffek of Houston.
      She is preceded in death by her mother and father.

      A viewing will be held in the Beck Funeral Home in Round Rock Texas on Friday Jan. 5, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. A rosary will follow the viewing at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Beck Funeral Home on Saturday Jan. 6, 2006 at 10 a.m. An inurnment ceremony will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2006 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery Hill Country Garden.
