OBIT: Wayne Joseph Drymala
Drymala 12/10/2006Wayne Joseph Drymala, CFO, teacher and devoted family man passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 7, 2006 after a valiant fight against a rare form of brain cancer.He was born on July 25, 1951 in East Bernard, Texas. Wayne graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Accounting where he later earned his designation of CPA. In 2001, he received his Executive MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio where he later returned to teach accounting at the graduate level. He worked at Valero Energy Corp. for 22 years and served as Chairman of the Board for Valero Federal Credit Union for several years. He then worked at Tesoro Energy and at the time of his death was the CFO of AGE Refining Inc.He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Grace, son, John Wesley, daughter, Jessica Lyn and son-in-law, Clayton Miller; Parents, Lucy and Joe Drymala, brothers, Alan Drymala, Steve Drymala; sisters Sandra Borroum and Wanda Reetz; father and mother in law, Ernest and Mary Grace Barberio, sister and brother-in-law, Rose Ann and David Crumrine, nephew Kevin Crumrine: brother and sister-in-law, Ernest J. and Laurie Barberio, niece and nephew, Lauren and Jordan Barberio: and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Special thanks to Monica Crumrine, R.N. and Abram Escobedo, R.N. for their constant care and expertise.Rosary will be recited Sunday, December 10th at 7:00 p.m. at The Angelus Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 11th at 10:00 a.m. at San Francesco di Paola Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North. Pallbearers are: Ernest John Barberio, David Crumrine, Alan Drymala, Steve Drymala, Richard Kohnen and Dale VandeHey. Honorary Pallbearers are James Driffill, Steve Dupnik, Ron Frisk, Glen Gonzalez, Julius Germano, Gary Hahs, John Kuperfschimt and Gary Swearingen.A scholarship fund has been established by AGE Refining Inc. at UTSA's EMBA program in Wayne's memory.
