      Funeral Mass for Johnny Sebesta, 58, of Sargent, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Beasley. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with the Rev. Howard Drabek officiating the services.

      Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

      Johnny was born July 7, 1948 in Houston, to Tellas Stanley Sebesta and Helen Marie Tomczak Sebesta. He passed away Oct. 30, 2006 in Bay City.

      Johnny retired after 37 years with Fort Bend County Road and Bridge and was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.

      Johnny was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing and hunting and was very devoted to his grandsons. Johnny was always smiling and never met a stranger. He will always be in our hearts.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Tellas and Helen Sebesta.

      Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda, of Sargent; daughters: Kelly Schmidt and husband, Carl, of Needville, Michelle Schmidt and husband, Andy, of Rosenberg; grandsons: Coy Kern of Needville, Jonathon Schmidt of Rosenberg, Connor Kern of Needville, and Austin “Tick” Schmidt of Rosenberg; siblings: Tellas Sebesta Jr. of Richmond, Mary Hacker and husband, David, of Rosenberg, Florence Fajkus and her husband, James, of East Bernard, and Tommy Sebesta and his wife, Lee Ann, of Rosenberg; and other relatives and many friends.

      Pallbearers are Tommy Sebesta, Kevin Hacker, Daniel Nowak, Bruce Shoemaker, Brian Sebesta, Phillip James Fajkus and Victor Rebecek.

      Honorary pallbearers are Carl Schmidt, Andy Schmidt, and his grandsons, Coy Kern, Jonathon Schmidt, Connor Kern and Austin “Tick” Schmidt.

      Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg, 281-341-8800.
