Margaret Bright Spacek
Margaret Bright Spacek, 81, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2006 at her residence. She was born December 8, 1924 in Gonzales to the late Josiah Clyde and Margaret Sellers Bright, of Gonzales County and St. Louis, MO, respectively. She married Calvin Earl Spacek on November 29, 1952 in Gonzales. She was a retired billing supervisor for a rural electric company and a member of the D.A.R., the Spade & Trowel Garden Club and the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin E. Spacek of Gonzales; nieces and nephews, Ann Bright Thurston of Dallas, Frank "Joe" Spacek of Winchester, VA, Wells Bright of Bossier City, LA, Cindy Crozier Turner of Gonzales, Alan Vencil of Rosenburg, Lisa Thurston of Dallas, Kyle V. Crozier, Collins B. Crozier, both of Gonzales and L. Carol Crozier of Dripping Springs and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clyde Bailey Bright and Charley Wells Bright, two sisters, Audrey Bright Collins and Josephine Bright Vencil.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Pam Kilpatrick officiating. Burial followed at the Gonzales Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kyle Crozier, Collins Crozier, Marcus Pridgeon, Lowell Turner, Brad Vollentine and Sandy Vollentine.
Honorary pallbearers were Pat Pringle, Henry Vollentine, Frank Stockton, Lawrence Walshak, Dr. Jim Price, Pat Kelley, Bryan Thurston and Frank J. Spacek III.
Memorials may b made to the Gonzales Masonic Cemetery or to the charity of one's choice.
Seydler-Hill Funeral Home of Gonzales was in charge of arrangements.
