      Barbara J. Kotzur
      1955-2006

      Barbara J. Kotzur of Karnes City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 20,
      2006, in the Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital in Kenedy at the age of 50 years,
      10 months, and 4 days.

      She was born Nov. 16, 1955, in Shreveport, La.

      Barbara married Danny Kotzur in Houston on May 10, 1980.

      She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Houston Baptist
      University and was a registered nurse. She had previously worked at the
      Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio for more than 20 years.

      Barbara was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City.

      Preceding her in death were her parents, Karl and Grace Pigott Gentry; a
      sister-in-law, Dorothy Boone; her stepparents, Frank and Lucille Kennedy;
      and father-in-law, Daniel Kotzur.

      Barbara is survived by her husband of 26 years, Danny Kotzur of Karnes City;
      sons Jason Kotzur of Fort Benning, Ga., and David Kotzur of San Antonio; her
      mother-in-law, Georgia Laskowski of Karnes City; brothers-in-law John James
      Kotzur and wife Charlotte of Stockdale and Frank Boone of McGill, Nev.

      Visitation took place on Friday, Sept. 22, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Rhodes
      Funeral Home in Karnes City, with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m.

      A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes
      City on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. with Monsignor John Wagner
      officiating.

      Interment followed in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery in Poth.

      Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Boone, J.C. Ford, A.J. Garcia, Emil
      Stavinoha, Don Tymrak, and Jason Tymrak.
