      ALOIS LEDWIG - EL CAMPO

      Friday, May 5, 2006

      EL CAMPO - Alois Ledwig, 80, of El Campo, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006.
      He was born June 21, 1925, in Meyersville, to the late Frank and Julia Hahn
      Ledwig. He was a farmer and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a
      member of the DAV and American Legion.

      Survivors: sons, Larry Ledwig and Gary Ledwig, both of El Campo, and Alvin
      Ledwig of Houston; sisters, Bernice Davis, Margaret Meador, and Elizabeth
      Mariner, all of Bay City; brothers, Julius Ledwig, Ignac Joe Ledwig, Henry
      Ledwig, and Milton Ledwig, all of Bay City, and Joseph Ledwig of Louisiana;
      and three grandchildren.

      Preceded in death by: brothers, Leo Ledwig, Mike Ledwig, and Stanley Ledwig.

      Visitation will be noon Saturday at Triska Funeral Home chapel.

      A rosary and funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, the Rev.
      Joe Vrana officiating.

      Burial with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion will
      be at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
