Dorothy Brandl, age 80 of El Campo, passed away on April 28, 2006 in
Houston. She was born on April 16, 1926 in Louise to the late William and
Annie Beal Herrmann.
She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Bueltel's Cadillac, and worked 28
years for the El Campo ISD as the school registrar. Since her retirement
from the school she has been an active volunteer with the Blessing Cup. She
was a member of the St. John's Altar Society and TRS.
She is survived by her husband Anton "Tony" Brandl of El Campo; daughter
Mary Nielsen and husband Tim of Edna; sons Tommy Brandl of El Campo, Terry
Brandl and wife Mary Ann of El Campo, Paul Brandl and wife Gloria of El
Campo; grandchildren Brian Nielsen, Lindsay Nielsen, Courtney Ramsey and
husband Brad, Whitney Brandl, Krystle Brandl, Cody Brandl and Lane Brandl;
sisters Irene Dolezal of Houston, Clara Jo Strnadel of Victoria and Gladys
Thompson of George West.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son David Brandl and brother Bill
Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Monday. A Wake Service will be held at 7
PM on Monday at Triska Funeral Home with Deacon Edward Wendel officiating.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 2, at St. Philip's
Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Interment will be at the
Holy Cross Memorial Park.
Memorials in memory of Dorothy Brandl may be made to the St. John's Altar
Society, The Blessing Cup, Elks Scholarship Fund or to the donors choice.
