VICTORIA - Victor V. Wagner, 86, of Victoria, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006.
He was born July 23, 1919, in Gruenau Community of DeWitt County, to the late Emil J. and Anna Rohan Wagner. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors: wife, Anette C. Wagner; daughter, Gayle E. Fox of Baton Rouge, La.; sons, Dennis W. Wagner of Austin, and Mike F. Wagner of San Diego, Calif; sisters, Elizabeth Pokluda, Leona Berckenhoff, and Doris Boldt, all of Yorktown, and Ann Ryan of Cuero; brothers, Al Wagner of Yorktown, and Gilbert Wagner of Port Lavaca; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by: sisters, Emma Wagner, Eleanora Wagner and Olga Babin; and brother, Edwin Wagner.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home chapel.
A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mgsr. James Brunner officiating.
