      Clinton William Eggert Sr.

      April 07, 2004

      He was born Dec. 9, 1929. He graduated from Texas A&I College.

      He served three years in the United States Army, began teaching in 1953,
      spending his longest tenure at Ray High School from 1957 until he retired in
      1990.

      He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church of Corpus Christi.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar H. Eggert Sr. and Edith Hajek
      Eggert of Robstown; and one brother, Aldon Eggert of Robstown.

      He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Valeria Knetig Eggert; one son,
      Clinton W. Eggert Jr. of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Donna Blalock of New
      Braunfels; two granddaughters, Leslie Blalock of New Braunfels, and Melissa
      Blalock (Jason) Moore of Crockett. Also one brother, Edgar H. (Evelyn)
      Eggert Jr. of Mathis; two sisters, Dolores (Melvin) Hinze of Robstown, and
      Mary Louise (Reynold) Veselka of Marfa; four brothers-in-law, Edmund
      (Fridel) Knetig Sr. of Corpus Christi, Leroy Knetig of Robstown, Victor
      Knetig of Corpus Christi, and Elwood (Mona Faye) Knetig of Robstown; and
      numerous nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at St. Mark Lutheran
      Church. Interment followed at Seaside Memorial Park.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or a
      charity of choice.
