SHINER - Celestine Rudolph Janak, 73, of Shiner, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005.
He was born April 6, 1932, in Lavaca County, to the late Rudolph and Julia Fikac Janak. He was a potman for Alcoa and a Catholic. He was a member of KJT and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors: daughters, Teresa Patek of Shiner and Cleste Thompson of Round Rock; sons, Richard Janak and Glen Janak, both of Houston; sisters, Stacy Wagner of Shiner and Frances Anderle of Point Comfort; brothers, Victor Janak of Hallettsville and Charlie Janak of Rockdale; and six grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: brothers, Alex Janak, Anton Janak, Leon Janak, and Joe Janak.
A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Friday at Buffington Funeral Home chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Gary Janak officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Shiner, 361-594-3352.
