      ABSTRACT OF OBITUARY: IGNAC FRANK BARTA, 86

      DIED: April 29

      BORN: Jan. 29, 1918 in Ammansville

      Parents: Emanuel and Annie (Dobrava) Barta

      Married: Judith Josephine Janda of La Grange

      During his 40 year career as a sheet metal worker, he spent time at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City. After returning to Texas in 1942, he worked at Kelly AFB in San Antonio. He retired from the civil service. He also repaired lawn mowers.

      Preceded in death by: brother, Ivan, in 1985 and his parents

      Survived by: his wife of 61 years; daughter, Betty Cannon; son, Thomas Barta and wife Darlene; grandchildren, Lisa Good, Aaron Barta and Cari Barta; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Gook; and brother, Emil Barta and wife Maggie.

      Funeral services were held May 3 at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ernest Palaming officiating.

      Burial in St. Jose Cemetery in San Antonio.
