      Mr. David W. Henke, 55, of Hallettsville, died July 9, 2005. He was a
      rancher and worked in the cattle business. He graduated from Sacred Heart
      High School in Hallettsville and National Auction Institute in Bryan, Texas.
      He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Booster Club,
      and Knights of Columbus. He was past Director and State Secretary for Texas
      State Championship High School Rodeo Association. He is survived by wife
      Jeanette Spoede Henke; sons Jeff Spoede Henke D.P.M. and David Scott Henke;
      father and mother-in-law Herman & Nellie Spoede of Austin; 4-brothers Henry
      Joe Henke & wife Marcella, Bob Henke & wife Jeanette A., Pat Henke & wife
      Gayle all of Hallettsville, and Msgr. Jim Henke of San Antonio; 2-sisters
      Mary Rose Barta & husband Clarence, Barbara H. Grahmann & husband Robert of
      Hallettsville; 17 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and nephews.
      Preceded in death by: father and mother Henry & Elizabeth Hermes Henke Sr.,
      stepmother Celie Chapman Henke, and sister-in-law Cheryl Fisher Henke.
      Service: 10am, Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
      Hallettsville. Visitation: Noon, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary:
      7pm, Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial at Sacred Heart Garden
      Mausoleum. Memorials: Sacred Heart Athletic Fund or donor's choice.
