      JULIUS AUGUST HANZELKA, 80, long-time resident of Richmond, passed away July 5, 2005 after a short, courageous battle with stomach cancer.
       
       He retired from Imperial Sugar Company in 1990 after 38 years of service. Julius proudly served his country in the United States marine Corp form January 1945 until October 1946.
       
       He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie B. Genzer Hanzelka of East Bernard in 1989 and infant son in 1958. Julius is survived by his daughter, Shirley of Richmond; sons Michael of Houston and Ronnie of Stafford; and one granddaughter, Anna of Houston.
       
      The family will receive friends Friday evening, July 8 , 2005 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with a rosary being held at 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 9, 2005 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will immediately follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park where Julius will be buried beside his wife. Deacon Jim Bonura will officiate the services.
       
       Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas 77471, 281-341-8800.
