      Mary T. Steffek, 92, of Hallettsville died Thursday, June 30, 2005. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a retired pecan grower, cattle rancher and homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, Catholic Daughter of Americas and KJZT. She was born August 11, 1912 to John and Marie Oppinger Kallus south of Hallettsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Frank T. Steffek; brothers Emil Kallus, Henry Kallus, Joe P. Kallus and Louis Kallus. She is survived by sons Raymond Steffek & wife Virginia, Robert Steffek & wife Leona; daughter Alice Janak & husband Leroy all of Hallettsville; 7-grandchildren Glenn Steffek, Ray Steffek, Marty Steffek, Steven Steffek, Mark Janak, Douglas Steffek , and Theresa Brewer and all their spouses; and 16-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. Service: 2 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Sacred Heart Church. Visitation: 3 pm Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7:30 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home, and 1:30 pm, Sunday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Church or School.

        TIMOTHY JASEK Prague, Czech Republic January 2, 2006. Tim was born July 16, 1959. He was the son of Edwin A. and Ann (Jiral) Jasek. Tim is survived by his son Phillip of San Antonio, TX, his mother Ann of Fredericksburg, TX, his brothers Anthony of San Antonio, TX, Steve of Sydney, Australia, Mike of St. Petersburg, FL, Randy of Georgetown, TX. And several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edwin Jasek. Tim was a Journalist and worked for Radio Free Europe in Prague, Czech Republic. He loved to travel and explore the world. He made friends everywhere he went. A Rosary will be said on Monday, January 16 at 7 PM at Schaetter's Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, TX. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, TX. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
