Obit: Angela Wendel
Angela Ann Polasek Mucka Wendel, 70, of Rosenberg, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 in Richmond.
She was born June 20, 1934 in Shiner to Joseph and Anna Pekar Polasek. Mrs. Wendel was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Bernard “B.J.” Wendel; children, Eugene G. Mucka Jr. of Rosenberg, Anthony Mucka of Rosenberg, Barbara Mucka of Rosenberg and Cynthia “Cindy” Mucka of Rosenberg; and sisters, Lillie Reck and her husband, Edwin of El Campo and Cecilia Jalufka of Blessing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Eugene G. Mucka Sr.; sisters, Anna Polasek, Mary Stavinoha, Theresa Valenta, Bessie Polasek and Emilie Polasek; and brothers, Dominic Polasek, Joe Polasek Jr. and Paul Polasek.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 17 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with a rosary to be recited by Father Dan Warden at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden will be officiating the services. Interment will follow at West Gethsemane Cemetery in Rosenberg. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Reck, Joseph Wendel, Greg Wendel, Trent Pearson, John Banker and Jim Olive.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Dujka, Tom Pearson, Daniel Jobb and Shane Lala.
