      FRANCES MARKER WOLCHANSKY, 83, passed away in Houston on March 28.
       
      Born in Waco and raised in Tyler, she married her sweetheart, Jacob "Buddy" Wolchansky, and settled in Shreveport, LA, after WWII. A loving and devoted wife, she and Buddy owned and operated Shreveport Pecan Company until their retirement in the mid-80's. After Buddy passed away, she later moved to Houston in 1994 to be closer to her family. She was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim, Congregation Beth Yeshurun and a life member of Hadassah.
       
       Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Alex and Irene Wolchansky of Houston and Dr. Alan and Joan Wolchansky of St. Louis, MO, and her loving grandchildren Brad Wolchansky and wife Aga of Brooklyn, NY, Jen Wolchansky of Boulder, CO, Michael Wolchansky of San Francisco and Danny Wolchansky of Madison, WI.
       
      Funeral services will be held at Orthodox Hebrew Rest Cemetery in Shreveport at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. Donations may be made to Congregation Agudath Achim Cemetery Fund, 9401 Village Green Dr., Shreveport, LA 71115 or the charity of your choice.
